CountStruction is a collection of 54 free calculators for contractors, landlords, and home service pros. Every tool turns real measurements into a purchase-ready plan — and shows each conversion, allowance, and rounding step so you can audit the answer before you spend money on it.
What makes it different
- The math is visible. Each estimate includes a step-by-step audit trail with the exact formula, your entries, and the rounding direction.
- Assumptions are editable. Coverage rates, waste allowances, package sizes, and prices are inputs, not hidden constants — swap in the numbers from the product label in your hand.
- Sources are cited. Formulas reference manufacturer technical data, published codes, and trade-association guidance, linked on each page with a review date. See the methodology.
- Results become a plan. Quantities convert to a shopping list you can copy, print, or open at Home Depot or Lowe's for store pickup.
What it is — and isn't
These are planning estimates. They do not size structural members, select concrete strength, design electrical services, or replace an ACCA Manual J, an engineer, or your local building department. Calculators that touch code-sensitive decisions say so plainly and stop short of design.
